1. Examination Scheme (परीक्षा योजना)
The examination is conducted in two distinct phases:
Phase I: Written Examination (प्रथम चरण: लिखित परीक्षा)
Total Marks (पूर्णाङ्क): 200
Structure: It consists of two separate papers held on the same day.
First Paper (Paper I): General Awareness, Public Management & Job-Based Knowledge (Objective Type – MCQs).
Second Paper (Paper II): Job-Based Knowledge (Subjective Type – Short and Long Answers).
Phase II: Practical & Interview (द्वितीय चरण: प्रयोगात्मक र अन्तर्वार्ता)
Practical Examination: 50 Marks (45 Minutes).
Interview: 30 Marks (Oral).
2. Detailed Course Content (विस्तृत पाठ्यक्रम)
Part I: General Awareness & Public Management (४० अंक)
General Awareness (Section A): Geography, history, and economic status of Nepal; climate change, and international organizations like UN, SAARC, and BIMSTEC.
Public Management (Section B): Office procedure, record management, Civil Service Act, and human values.
Part II: Job-Based Knowledge (कम्प्युटर सम्बन्धी जानकारी)
This section is critical for both the objective and subjective papers and covers the following topics:
Computer Fundamentals: History, generation, hardware (CPU, Input/Output), and software types.
Operating Systems: Windows GUI, command-line operations, and system tools.
Word Processing (MS Word): Formatting, tables, mail merge, and Devanagari fonts.
Electronic Spreadsheet (MS Excel): Formulas, functions, charts, and data filtering.
Database System (MS Access): Tables, relationships, and queries.
Presentation System (PowerPoint): Slides, animations, and formatting.
Web Designing & Social Media: HTML tags and the use of social media in governance.
Computer Network: Topologies, IP addressing, and network devices.
Cyber Security: Threats (viruses, phishing) and security mechanisms (firewalls, digital signatures).
Hardware Maintenance: Troubleshooting peripherals and OS installation.

3. Evaluation Criteria (मूल्यांकन विधि)
Negative Marking: For objective questions, 20% marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Typing Skill Test: During the practical phase, typing speed is measured in both Nepali and English.
Nepali Typing: Text of 200 words.
English Typing: Text of 225 words.
Correct Words per Minute = (Total Words Typed − Wrong Words) / 5.
